“Exercises”

Get those little legs going with some kicking and counting!  This is a game that I played with my little one right from the start.  I just gently bicycle his legs as I count, “One, and two, and three…” all the way up to ten and finish with a big, “Yay Michael!”  It’s amazing how fast they learn and start doing their “exercises” all by themselves when you count 🙂

“I’m gonna get that ____”  

For us this one started out as “I’m gonna get that tongue,” when my little guy first started sticking his tongue out.  But now that he’s bigger I just change it to whatever works that day.  Sometimes I get that nose, that belly, or simply that baby.  Whatever I’m “getting” he loves and I always get a chuckle.

This Little Piggie

I’m sure we all know this one!  “This little piggie went to market, this little piggie stayed home…”  I just started playing this one with my munchkin a few weeks ago and he totally gets ready for the big finish full of tickles and kisses when the last little piggie is “wee weeing all the way home!” 🙂

Mirror, Mirror

Just recently my cutie pie found his reflection.  And boy does he LOVE it!  We have a fun mirror toy that I hold above his head and he just talks and talks and talks to himself.  It’s the cutest thing!!

1, 2…Poopy in the Pants!

Now this one is just too funny.  I’m not even sure how it originally started, but all three of my kids loved it when they were babies.  My older two even think it’s the best thing ever now when I’m changing their little brother.  They ask me to please do the “One, two game” when I’m changing him!  Are you ready for this one?  It’s pretty complicated…

All I do is excitedly count as I’m unfastening each diaper tab and then say what’s inside as I open it up.  For example, “One…two…poopy in the pants!”

Rocket science…I know!  Haha!  But they all got a kick out of it 🙂
