I’m all about making fabulous decorations, decor, and much more on the cheap. With a little creative thinking you can usually make something without breaking the bank that would have cost a pretty penny anywhere else. There isn’t a better store to help us in our crafting on the cheap goal than dollar stores!
A perfect example of an easy dollar store DIY project are the beautiful glass candle holders in the photo above, made by Sarah from On the Way Home.
The supplies that she used included…
- Candlestick holders
- White ribbon
- Silk orchids
- Glass cylinder vases
- Vanilla candles
- River rock
- Glue gun
Total cost for one candle holder with everything included was $5.50!
And here’s how each candle holder was assembled…
- Glue the candle stick bases to the cylinder vases using a glue gun.
- Add river rock to candle holders at varying heights and add candles.
- Tie ribbon and orchids to front and you are done!
How easy and pretty! And dollar stores usually have a great selection of seasonal decor too. These dollar store candle holders can simply be changed using some seasonal items there to match any season or holiday of the year 😉
