A little over a month ago I became a Savings.com DealPro Ambassador. Lots has been going on since then and last week I traveled to Los Angeles with other new DealPro Ambassadors from across the country to learn the Savings Nation curricula that we will be teaching in our local communities beginning in September.
It was my first official blogger business trip so it was also my first time meeting in person many of my frugal blogger buds that I speak to frequently online. Everyone was just as nice as I imagined and I learned so much from the wonderful team at Savings.com. I think that the curricula for the Savings Nation coupon classes are awesome! The Grocery Coupon Workshop is the perfect amount of introduction to couponing along with real-life strategies and plans that you’ll need to make couponing work in your life. And for the more advanced couponers there’s the Drugstore Saving Secrets Workshop which will teach you all the tricks and tips to saving tons at Rite Aid, Walmart, and Walgreens.

I have to say that more than anything I am EXCITED! I’m excited to help teach the local community learn to save! I am excited to partner with charities/organizations/teams/schools to help raise money for good causes while teaching the local community to save! I am excited that little old me can help make a difference in someone’s life! I know that I will be forever grateful to my cousin, Rita, for opening up my eyes to the true power of couponing. If I can help someone else reach their family and financial goals, I’m one happy camper! 🙂
As I’ve mentioned the classes will begin in September. Watch Saving by Design for the latest class announcements. When they are scheduled, you’ll be able to find the classes on the Savings Nation site to register. And if you’re not a local reader, have no fear! Lots of other DealPro Ambassadors are near! The classes that will be available include…
- Grocery Savings Workshop – a 2 hour presentation featuring an introduction to couponing, strategic shopping, and meal planning
- Drugstore Savings Secrets – all the secrets to saving tons playing the drugstore game
- Lunch & Learn – a shortened 1 hour presentation perfect for small groups or corporate trainings
- Seasonal Add-Ons – Back to School shopping, Black Friday shopping, Christmas shopping, etc.
