A few weeks ago my family went to Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA for the opening day of this year’s A Very Furry Christmas. Just like last year, our very first year to visit the park, the entire place was beautifully decorated in evergreen garland and lights. It was so festive and bright! As we walked through the park, Christmas music played.
At the Sesame Street set snow occasionally fell from the sky as it flew out of machines out-of-sight on the rooftop. The rides were great! There was plenty of room for adults on all of them, so if your munchkin is too small to ride alone it’s not a problem. We all got to enjoy the rides together.
Last year my son LOVED the roller coaster and this year my 3-year-old daughter loved it just as much as him! If it was up to them we would have gone on 20 times!
This year, the park enhanced their holiday festivities by adding a second trackless Furry Express train as well as adding new features to the Gingerbread Cookie Factory tour where guests could experience how Twiddlebugs bake their famous chocolate gingerbread cookies.
“From the festive attractions to the special Christmas treats, there is no better place for families to get into the holiday spirit than alongside their favorite Sesame Street friends at Sesame Place,” said Bob Caruso, Sesame Place Park President. “A Very Furry Christmas brings out that holiday imagination in the hearts and minds of families in a way that no other place can.”
At A Very Furry Christmas, you can enjoy the park’s mechanical rides, a larger-than-life Christmas tree and light show, a nightly parade set to festive music and one-of-a-kind fun-filled shopping in the park’s gift shops. There are three Christmas shows, as well as an opportunity to share a holiday-themed meal with Elmo & friends and visit with Santa Claus during special character dining experiences that are sure to please everyone in the family!
To conclude the holiday season and ring in the year 2014, guests are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Sesame Street characters on December 31st with an impressive fireworks show set to exciting and fun music.
