It wasn’t too long ago that I myself was a new couponer. The best advice that I could give you is to take it slow. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself, become frustrated, and then quit. Start small, with a store or two that you usually shop at, and before you know it you’ll be a pro! I promise that once you get to that cash register and see your totals start dropping, you’ll be hooked and WANT to learn all everything there is about couponing!
To start you on your couponing journey take a look at the School of Savings posts. These are in-depth looks at stores and deals to help you make the most out of your shopping trips. A new store or topic will be featured each week and I’m totally open to suggestions. Just contact me to let me know what you would like to learn more about. Also check out Coupon Basics to learn just that…the basics!
After a while you will start thinking about shopping differently. You’ll begin to see that there really is never a reason to pay full retail again. You’ll start seeing deals everywhere…whether it’s going through a cash back site when shopping online, purchasing gift cards at grocery stores to earn gas points, or buying empty ink cartridges (yes I said buying!) to make a profit at Staples…there’s a way to save on practically every product or service out there!
And I’m here to help you along the way! 😉

I’ll find you some! Any brands in particular you are looking for? Also take a look in the coupon database…you can search by any word to see if a coupon pulls up. Try using the brand you are looking for or simply “cat food”, “cat litter”, etc. Also use the search box in the upper right of the site. I know I’ve posted some in the past and they may still be available. 😉
